Dietary supplement «Lutein», State Standard
TU U 15.8-32153647-002:2006.
Lutein oil solution, extract of the Marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta).
Lutein is the main pigment of the eye retina, carotenoid contained in yellow-red fruits and vegetables, in the egg yolk, in the Marigold petals. From the 600 hundred natural carotenoids only two – lutein and zeaxanthin – possess the ability to penetrate into eye tissues. Lutein is consumed with food (fruits and vegetables), and zeaxanthin is formed directly in the eye retina. Lutein and zeaxanthin are the main pigments of the yellow spot, located in the center of the eyeball nervous tunic and responsible for the high acuity of vision. Thus, the additional intake of the lutein-containing preparations increases our own nature-programmed sight protection function.
