Dietary supplement “Smart Iodine”, State Standard
TU U 15.8-32153647-005:2007, is a candy, a sugar confectionary product, produced by means of boiling the sucrose syrup with the starch syrup or invert syrup until the high-boiled mass with the water content of 1.5-4.0%, in the formulation of which is also included iodine-casein (the amino acids tyrosine and histidine iodated by a milk protein – casein). 1 candy weighs 4-5 g and contains 50 mcg of iodine.

Iodine is vital for the thyroid gland functioning; it participates in the thyroxin hormone formation.

The iodine requirements vary in the range of 50-200 mcg/day. Iodine accumulates in the thyroid gland. In case of the iodine insufficiency the goitrous disease incidence is possible. Children of the school age are especially perceptible to the iodine deficiency.

Iodine casein, included into the composition, is not toxic in higher doses and in case of the continuous use; it does not possess mutagenicity; takes part in the physiologic regulation of the iodine metabolism, thus can not lead to the iodine overdose and the iodine-induced diseases incidence.
Application and dosage:
Grown-ups and children of 11 and older – 1 candy twice per day, children of 6 - 11 – 1 candy per day.

Counter-indications:
It is not recommended using the supplement for persons who show signs of intolerance to components and those with diabetes.

Shelf life and storage conditions:
Store at temperatures not higher than 18±3 °С, air humidity not more than 75%, 12 months from the production date.
